レッスン６：理由と原因の説明

このレッスンでは、法的な根拠や出来事の経緯について、理由（Reason）や原因（Cause）を説明する表現を学びます。「〜ので」や「〜から」を使い分けて、論理的に説明する練習をしましょう。

1. 語彙 (Vocabulary)

シーン：ジャコモがクライアントに、なぜ契約の締結が遅れているのか理由を説明する

田中（クライアント）： ジャコモさん、例の契約の件ですが、どうして時間がかかっているんですか。

ジャコモ： 申し訳ございません。実は、今回のケースは法律がとても複雑なので、調査に時間がかかっています。

田中： そうですか。何か特別な原因があるんですか。

ジャコモ： はい。新しい証拠が見つかったため、内容を確認し直さなければなりません。

田中： なるほど。相手の会社の条件はどうですか。

ジャコモ： 相手の条件は少し厳しすぎます。このままでは、田中さんにとって不利になるからです。

田中： わかりました。ジャコモさんがそこまで言うなら、慎重に進めたほうがいいですね。

ジャコモ： はい。間違いがないように、私が責任を持って担当いたします。

田中： 助かります。また何かあれば教えてください。

ジャコモ： 承知いたしました。詳しい状況がわかり次第、またご連絡を差し上げます。

Tanaka (Client): Giacomo-san, regarding that contract matter, why is it taking so much time?

Giacomo: I apologize. Actually, since the law in this case is very complex, the investigation is taking time.

Tanaka: I see. Is there a specific cause?

Giacomo: Yes. Because new evidence was found, we have to re-confirm the contents.

Tanaka: I see. How are the conditions from the other company?

Giacomo: Their conditions are a bit too strict. This is because, if we leave it as it is, it will be disadvantageous for you, Tanaka-san.

Tanaka: Understood. If you go as far as to say that, Giacomo-san, then it’s better to proceed cautiously.

Giacomo: Yes. I will be in charge and take responsibility to ensure there are no mistakes.

Tanaka: That’s a big help. Please let me know if anything else comes up.

Giacomo: Certainly. As soon as I know the detailed situation, I will contact you again.
