1. Subjects and Format
The EJU consists of the following subjects:
- Japanese as a Foreign Language (Reading comprehension, listening, listening-reading comprehension, and writing) (0–400 points)
- Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology: choose two) (0–200 points)
- Japan and the World (Japanese history, world history, politics, and economy) (0–200 points)
- Mathematics (Course 1: for humanities and some sciences / Course 2: for science and engineering) (0–200 points)
Students choose subjects based on their university requirements.
2. Test Dates
EJU is held twice a year:
- June Session (Applications in February–March)
- November Session (Applications in July–August)
3. When to Take the EJU for 2027 University Admission
If you plan to enter a Japanese university in April 2027, you should take the June 2026 or November 2026 EJU. Some universities accept scores from both sessions, while others may have specific requirements.

1. 考试科目和形式
EJU 包括以下科目：
