Lesson 6: Code Reviews and Giving/Receiving Feedback
1. 語彙 / Vocabulary
| 語彙 / Vocabulary | 読み方 / Reading | 意味 / Meaning | 例文 / Example Sentence |
| 可読性 | かどくせい | Readability | コードの可読性を高めるために、変数名を見直しました。 (I reviewed the variable names to improve code readability.) |
| 保守性 | ほしゅせい | Maintainability | 将来の機能追加に備えて、保守性の高い設計を意識します。 (I am conscious of designing for high maintainability in preparation for future feature additions.) |
| 指摘 | してき | Pointing out / Feedback | レビューで指摘された箇所を修正しました。 (I corrected the parts pointed out during the code review.) |
| 汎用性 | はんようせい | Versatility / Generality | 他の保険商品モジュールでも使えるよう、汎用性を持たせます。 (I will give it versatility so it can be used in other insurance product modules as well.) |
| 共通化 | きょうつうか | Standardization / Refactoring into common components | 重複している処理を共通化して、コードをすっきりさせました。 (I standardized duplicate processing to clean up the code.) |
2. 文法 / Grammar
| 文法 / Grammar | 意味 / Meaning | 例文 / Example Sentence |
| ~を踏まえて | Based on / Taking into account | 先輩の指摘を踏まえて、リファクタリングを行います。 (Taking into account the senior engineer’s feedback, I will perform refactoring.) |

| ~からすると / ~からして | Judging from / Considering | コードの記述量からすると、パフォーマンスに影響が出る可能性があります。 (Judging from the amount of code written, there is a possibility it might affect performance.) |
3. 会議・日常会話 / Conversations
パターン1:オンラインでのコードレビューと議論(ビジネス)
Pattern 1: Online Code Review and Discussion (Business)
先輩(高橋):
アラヴィンドさん、プルリクエスト作成ありがとう。保険料試算処理のコード、拝見しました。
(Aravindh, thank you for creating the pull request. I reviewed the code for the insurance premium calculation process.)
アラヴィンド:
確認ありがとうございます!コーディング規約に照らして記述したつもりですが、いかがでしょうか?
(Thank you for checking it! I intended to write it in light of the coding standards, but how is it?)
先輩(高橋):
全体的に可読性が高くて素晴らしいよ。ただ、ロジックの一部で重複している処理があるね。ここをそのままにすると、仕様変更があったときに修正漏れが発生しかねないと思う。
(Overall, the readability is high and it’s great. However, there are duplicate processes in part of the logic. If we leave this as is, I feel it might cause missed updates when specification changes occur.)
アラヴィンド:
ご指摘ありがとうございます!高橋さんのご意見を踏まえて、該当処理を共通化し、保守性を高める方向に修正いたします。
(Thank you for pointing that out! Taking into account your opinion, Takahashi-san, I will refactor to standardize the relevant processing and improve maintainability.)
先輩(高橋):
よろしく!修正が終わったら、また画面共有かプルリクで教えてね。
(Sounds good! Once you finish the modifications, let me know via screen share or PR again.)
パターン2:レビュー終わりのオンライン雑談(日常・カジュアル)
Pattern 2: Online Small Talk After Code Review (Everyday Life / Casual)
同僚(鈴木):
アラヴィンドさん、レビューお疲れ様!高橋さんのフィードバック、すごく具体的で参考になったね。
(Aravindh, good job on the code review! Takahashi-san’s feedback was very specific and helpful, wasn’t it?)
アラヴィンド:
お疲れ様です!はい、自分の書いたコードはまだ汎用性の面で改善の余地があると感じました。ご指摘は本当に勉強になります。
(Good job! Yes, I felt my written code still had room for improvement in terms of versatility. The feedback is truly educational.)
同僚(鈴木):
いやいや、アラヴィンドさんのコードはいつも綺麗だよ!在宅で一人で書いてると、自分の癖に気づきにくいからレビューって大事だよね。
(No way, Aravindh’s code is always clean! When writing alone at home, it’s hard to notice your own habits, so reviews are important, right?)
アラヴィンド:
そうですね。一人で画面と向き合っている時間は自分の一部に過ぎないので、チームからのフィードバックを通じて成長できるのが嬉しいです。
(That’s true. Time facing the screen alone is merely one part of myself, so I am happy to grow through team feedback.)
同僚(鈴木):
その前向きな姿勢、見習わなきゃ!今日のリファクタリングが終わったら、夕方サイクリングで気分転換してきてね!
(I need to learn from that positive attitude! After finishing today’s refactoring, go for an evening cycle to refresh!)
