Lesson 10: Emergency Response and Evacuation Drills

Pattern 1: Evacuation Drill and Pre-Meeting at the Factory (Business)

先輩（佐藤）：

ガエルさん、今日の午後は工場全体での避難訓練です。実施にあたって、高圧電気室の安全手順は頭に入っていますか？

(Gaël, this afternoon is the factory-wide evacuation drill. Prior to conducting it, do you have the safety procedures for the high-voltage room in mind?)

ガエル：

はい。停電や火災の非常アナウンスが鳴り次第、まず主遮断器を落として給電を遮断します。

(Yes. As soon as an emergency announcement for a power outage or fire sounds, I will first trip the main circuit breaker to cut off the power supply.)

先輩（佐藤）：

完璧だね。緊急時はパニックになりがちだけど、初動の対応が遅れれば大事故につながることに相違ないから頼むよ。

(Perfect. People tend to panic during emergencies, but there’s no doubt that if the initial response is delayed, it will lead to a major accident, so I’m counting on you.)

ガエル：

承知いたしました。訓練であっても妥協せず、緊張感を持って通報と避難の誘導を行います！

(Understood. Even though it’s a drill, I will not compromise and will guide reporting and evacuation with a sense of urgency!)

パターン2：訓練終わりの雑談と地震対策（日常・カジュアル）

Pattern 2: Post-Drill Small Talk and Earthquake Preparedness (Everyday Life / Casual)

同僚（田中）：

ガエルさん、訓練お疲れ様！無事に指定の避難場所まで逃げ込めたね。

(Gaël, good job on the drill! We managed to evacuate safely to the designated shelter area.)

ガエル：

お疲れ様です！避難指示の放送から誘導まで、とてもスムーズで感銘を受けました。フランスでも訓練はありますが、日本は地震対策への意識が本当に高いですね。

(Good job! From the evacuation order broadcast to the guidance, it was very smooth and I was impressed. We have drills in France too, but Japan’s awareness of earthquake preparedness is really high.)

同僚（田中）：

地震が多い国だからね。今日の訓練を機に、自宅の非常用持ち出しバッグも確認しておいた方がいいよ。

(Because it’s a country with many earthquakes. Taking today’s drill as an opportunity, you should check your emergency supply bag at home too.)

ガエル：

そうですね。実はまだ準備できていなかったので、今週末に買いに行こうと思います！
