同僚: 朝採れのフレッシュな野菜ですね！菜園の管理もエンジニアの仕事と両立させていて凄いです。

(Freshly picked morning vegetables! It’s amazing how you balance managing the garden with your engineering work.)

ロイック: ええ。菜園づくりを始めて以来、土の湿度センサーなどを使って水やりを自動化するツールも開発しています。どんなにシステムを組んだところで、最終的には自分の目で土を確認する必要がありますが。

ロイック: ええ。最近は落ち葉などを集めて土を肥沃にする作業をしています。温暖な九州の島は、自給自足の挑戦に相応しい場所だと実感しています。

(Yes. Recently I’ve been collecting fallen leaves to make the soil fertile. I really feel that a warm island in Kyushu is a place befitting the challenge of self-sufficiency.)

ロイック: 先週、一部の作物で害虫が発生し、方針の変更を余儀なくされました。ですが、原因を分析して対策を打つプロセスは、ITのバグ修正と非常によく似ていて面白いです。

(Last week pests broke out in some crops, and I was forced to change my approach. However, the process of analyzing the cause and taking countermeasures is extremely similar to IT bug fixing, which is interesting.)

リーダー: さすがエンジニア視点ですね！その分析力を次の開発プロジェクトでも発揮してもらえると頼もしいです。
