Lesson 1: Greetings and Self-Introduction at a New Workplace

担当 担当する 私だけでこの仕事をしている。または、私と他の誰かとこの仕事をしている。	たんとう 従事じゅうじ 従事する 従う　したがう 私には上司がいて、その下でこの仕事をしています。	Being in charge of / Person in charge	高圧電気設備の保守を担当しています。 (I am in charge of the maintenance of high-voltage electrical equipment.) クレームの電話をかけたけど、担当者が席を外していると言われ、別の人が私のクレームをメモした。 山田さんは無力で何も担当できません。
経歴	けいれき	Career / Background	フランスの大学で電気工学を学んだ経歴があります。 (I have a background in studying electrical engineering at a university in France.) 彼女はハーバード大学を出ているという経歴を語っていたが、調べてみると、その大学のオープンスクールを出ているだけだと分かった。 実は、その彼女がすごいムキムキの理由はマッチョバーの経歴があります。
配属	はいぞく	Assignment (to a department)	先週、技術部に配属されました。 (I was assigned to the Engineering Department last week.) 転職して、最初の日に配属先の部屋をまちがえて、ずっと違う席に座っていた。 開発技術部に配属されるはずですが、初日の研修はずっと経理部で受けました。
抱負	ほうふ	Ambition / Aspiration	新しい職場での抱負を語ります。 (I will share my aspirations at the new workplace.) 意欲＝やる気がある事 抱負＝近い将来の夢 お正月に今年の抱負を言ったけど、もう11月なのに全然達成できていない。 8月の抱負は銀河を観測したいです。 それで淡路島へ行くんです。

2. 文法 / Grammar

パターン1：朝礼での着任挨拶（ビジネス）

Pattern 1: Self-introduction at the Morning Assembly (Business)

部長：

みなさん、おはようございます。今日から我が社に新しい仲間が加わりました。高圧電気技師のガエルさんです。ガエルさん、自己紹介をお願いします。

(Good morning, everyone. Starting today, a new member has joined our company. This is Mr. Gaël, a high-voltage electrical engineer. Gaël, please introduce yourself.)

ガエル：

みなさん、おはようございます。本日から技術部に配属されました、ガエルと申します。フランスから参りました。

(Good morning, everyone. My name is Gaël, and I have been assigned to the Engineering Department as of today. I came from France.)

部長：

ガエルさんは前職でも高圧電気の設計やメンテナンスに携わっていたベテランです。

(Gaël is a veteran who was involved in high-voltage electrical design and maintenance in his previous job.)

ガエル：

これまではフランスで高圧電気設備の保守を担当をしておりました。大阪での生活は初めてですが、一日も早く仕事に慣れ、チームに貢献できるよう努めます。

(Previously, I was in charge of the maintenance of high-voltage electrical equipment in France. This is my first time living in Osaka, but I will strive to get used to the work as quickly as possible and contribute to the team.)

ガエル：

まだ日本語で至らない点もあるかと存じますが、ご指導のほどよろしくお願いいたします。

(I know there may still be areas where my Japanese falls short, but I kindly ask for your guidance and support.)

パターン2：休憩時間の雑談（日常・カジュアル）

Pattern 2: Small Talk During Break (Everyday Life / Casual)

同僚（田中）：

ガエルさん、改めてよろしく！大阪の生活にはもう慣れた？

(Gaël, nice to meet you again! Have you gotten used to living in Osaka yet?)

ガエル：

こちらこそ、よろしくお願いします！先週引っ越してきたばかりなので、まだ家と会社の往復くらいですね。

(Likewise, nice to meet you! I just moved in last week, so right now I’m basically just going back and forth between home and the office.)

同僚（田中）：

そっか。大阪はどう？美味しいもの食べた？

(I see. How do you like Osaka? Have you eaten anything good?)

ガエル：

昨日、近くのお店でたこ焼きを食べました。すごく美味しかったです！

(Yesterday, I had takoyaki at a shop nearby. It was delicious!)

同僚（田中）：

いいね！大阪は安くて美味しいお店がたくさんあるから、今度おすすめの店を教えるよ。仕事のことも何か分からないことがあったら気軽に聞いてね。

(That’s great! Osaka has a lot of cheap and tasty places to eat, so I’ll recommend some good spots next time. Also, if you have any questions about work, feel free to ask.)

ガエル：

ありがとうございます！心強いです。ぜひ美味しいお好み焼きのお店も教えてください。

(Thank you so much! That’s very encouraging. Please do tell me about good Okonomiyaki restaurants as well!)
